Plan Summary
Tonga National Farmers Federation Inc’s approach will be based on three thematic pillars:
Farming: By 2028, TNFF Inc. will support two thousand smallholder farmers (Agriculture, Fishery and Livestock) every year to increase their productivity, household incomes and resilience to shocks.
Market engagement: By 2028, TNFF Inc. will support at least 100 farmer groups, cooperatives and small and growing businesses to grow sustainably
Environment: TNFF Inc. will support all districts and towns sustainable management of priority landscapes, including forests, rangelands and coastal ecosystems.
The three pillars will be underpinned by five cross-cutting themes:

We will work to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and strengthen the resilience and adaptive capacity of communities to climate change.
We will design projects to be gender-sensitive and include meaningful outcomes for women’s economic empowerment.

We will enhance communities’, enterprises’ and ecosystems’ ability to mitigate and adapt to shocks.
We will embrace the use of technology at all stages of the value chain.
